Rebuilding Sustainable Forests
The world’s forests shrunk 20% between 1900 and 1990 and has continued to shrink each decade at a 3% rate due to the dramatic population growth of humans and their demands on a diverse range of trees’ and plants’ products (i.e., food, paper, oil, fuel, etc.). Deforestation is a major threat to the ecosystem radically reducing natural habitats and the numbers of animal and plant species, contributing to soil erosion and reduced forestry drainage water quality, increased ground surface temperatures, increased forestry drainage water temperatures, reduced ground moisture retention, as well as, contributing towards an atmospheric imbalance between oxygen and carbon dioxide. All of these cumulative effects contribute to local, regional, and global climate changes.
The Stable Isotope Foundation has pledged to donate licensing, production, and distribution costs in support of the World Reforestry Project. Aeroseed™ is a trademark of Stable Isotope Foundation.
